Introducing... Spreading Stations
STORY: Dust spots are installed in areas identified as high need. A small team of dust operatives are charged with manning a station on rotation. There’s a huge demand for fairy dust at the moment. We are living in unprecedented times. These station posts play a vital role in dust distribution.
Spreading Station 231: Davis is sporting a dark tan flight suit with blue patch detail. His sprinkle hose features a matching blue vintage tiddly wink.
Spreading Station 232: Cleo wears a toffee-coloured leather flight suit with patched detail and a bottom pleat. She sits on her dust spot sprinkling dust as fast as she can. Her dust hose is red and is teamed with a vintage red tiddlywink.
Spreading Station 234: Ciril’s handstitched leather flight suit is a bright sunshine yellow with patched detail. He has a standard issue acorn cup helmet, earmuffs, flight goggles and beautiful striped wings.
SPECIFICATION: A workshop clear out unearthed lots of forgotten treasure, including a number of vintage wooden bowls in need of TLC. I immediately decided to repurpose them into circular wall bases: a trio of dust spots. They are finished in a gorgeous grey-blue paint (Frenchic Scotch Mist). A wall fixing is fitted to the rear of the sculpture for easy installation via one wall screw. The piece is also signed and dated on the rear.
