The fairies have landed at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park
Hello from the fairy workshop. We hope that you have enjoyed the summer. Ours has whizzed by in a frantic fairy-making blur. Late nights, little sleep and fuelled on chocolate, the fairies are almost ready for showing off at YSP. They landed yesterday and are sprucing themselves up ready for Saturday.
‘The Adventure So Far’ opens at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park this coming weekend and this special Fairy Release goes on sale via the YSP shop. There will be 12 very special fairies on display, all for sale and available from 10am.
You can preview the pieces in an online catalogue curtesy of YSP (link below). It details how you can purchase, but you can always call or email them in advance if you have any specific questions. They do have more images should you not be able to make it to meet the fairies in person. You can also get in touch with me if you’d like to know more about a piece, but all sales enquiries must go to YSP staff.
For those who missed our Kickstarter campaign, our first picture book 20 Years a Maker will be available to purchase at YSP. There is a physical book launch on 1st October 2022 where you can come and get your copy signed and have a chat of course. Click the link below to book your spot. It would be lovely to see some of you that are within easy reach of the park. Kickstarter backers your signed books will be posted out as soon as they arrive. It’s bigger and better than planned!
Finally you might want to take a look at this little film that we had made to mark our 20 year making milestone. It features many of the pieces that feature in the exhibition. It was made by the super film making duo R&A Collaboration.
