Long Distance Traveller for Fairies

STORY: A social vehicle for the travelling fairy. Long haul flights can be physically gruelling as well as lonely. This vehicle allows fairies to tackle longer journeys in comfort. They can share the peddling and float when resting.

SPECIFICATION: This airship is built mainly in brass wire and sheet. The balloon has a wire skeleton, over which a combination of fabric and paper are stretched. It has two operatives hand stitched in leather. This sculpture suspends from the ceiling to create the illusion of flight.

This fairy now lives with a collector.
